Now the body, that can actually be changed if you install bodyslide and select the option to install the racemenu plugin. They're facegen data, unlike the player character's face. They're a 'fixed' mesh that can't be changed. Even better, your plugin can be a perpetual WIP, so when you come across a new NPC whose look you don't like, you can just load up the mod again and make another change. Why Faces are 'baked' in on followers and can't be changed. But with the editor, you can make a single plugin that contains all the changes you want, and they'll be that way forever. The Show Race menu would work for one set of saves, but if you ever made a new character those NPCs would revert back to their default state and you'd lose all your hard work. I think the best you're going to get is the ability to customize their look via the editor when it comes out. Is it possible? Anyone else interested in this? Using zero makes it so the slider is all the way to the left/light side. This value represents the position of the weight slider on the character creation screen. Replace XXX with the weight value you want to use. Obviously introducing race changes may cause some issues, but even if we had access to the visual sliders for an NPCs given race that would be amazing. Open console, click on npc you want to change (their REFID will pop up in the center of your screen) and enter: setnpcweight XXX. Once you merge the heads convert the finished product back into SSE format. The possibilities of updating Lydia's look, and some others would be great. To be able to use NPC Nif Merge with Skyrim Special Edition you’re going to have to use Nif Optimizer to change the format of exported RaceMenu heads to Oldrim format. I'd love to see a way to customize NPCs in the game through the showracemenu interface, or something like it. On the Internet I could only find tutorials that were made for or resorted to Oldrim and Nifmerge, which doesnt work for SSE.
